One of the first things you need to do to enjoy your life is to discover what you are good at and what you enjoy doing.

Everyone is good at something, and everyone enjoys doing something. Just stop and think about it:
  • Are you good at making friends?
  • Are you good at having a good time?
  • Are you good at helping friends with problems?
  • Are you good at overcoming problems? The late Debbie Ford suffered from severe depression, but overcame it. What was she an expert at? Overcoming depression! She went on to become a world-famous author and coach for overcoming depression.

This is an important topic. Please follow up on it. Two good resources are:

  • Finding Your Element: How to Discover Your Talents and Passions and Transform Your Life, by Ken Robinson

If you're on a budget, locate these books at your local library (perhaps through a lending program with other libraries) or find a used copy at Amazon.com. Get the most recent edition available, so that you have the most recent updates.
