If you've watched the entire mini-series, then you know that, even after it's all over, and everyone has been presented with a complete explanation of what happened, virtually everyone still thinks it's not possible to stop someone from committing suicide.
Clay Jensen, however, understands in a very deep and personal way. It's not just that he personally cared about Hannah. It's that he's able to see the world objectively, and face cold, hard realities. While this is difficult to do, it is possible, and Clay Jensen proves it (and to some degree Sheri Holland, at the last moment). He states, with clarity: "It has to get better—the way we treat each other, and look out for each other."

Reinforcing the Christian message of the Prodigal Son, Darth Vader turns away from the Dark Side at a critical moment to save the Star Wars universe as we have come to know it. The message is that, in many cases, it's the Prodigal Son that can make the greatest difference. In a subtler way, Hans Solo also serves as a flawed hero.
The Light Side and the Dark Side parallel accepting Christ versus choosing the devil. Just as in Christianity, and in life, the choice is ongoing. There is a constant stream of opportunities to choose which side we are on. No human can claim to be 100% free of the Dark Side. But we can certainly try…

Economics 2029 (Econ 2029) is the macroeconomics component of America 2029.
While macroeconomics is usually left for the university professors, in America 2029, everyone can explore ways to personally profit from contributing to the overall macroeconomics that will be evolving. Three central tenets of Econ 2029 are that

An easy form of leverage for everyone is the sharing economy. The more individuals can share with others, the more they will "have," since full ownership is not required for enjoyment.

If you feel that your voice is not being heard by government officials, you are definitely not alone.
Not just Americans, but also voters around the world, are feeling that government is failing them.
Before you blame the government leaders, consider another possibility: The government mechanisms created from around the 18th century through the 20th century may not be adequate for the challenges of the 21st century.
Globalism and technology are making it extremely difficult for anyone—let alone government officials—to control how the needs of the nation are being addressed.
America 2029 starts from the premise that you can't expect government to solve your problems. Instead, you have to take responsibility and be a part of the solution. This is consistent with the Republican agenda of "small government," but it is also in the best interest of Democrats seeking reform. Regardless of your political position, you can't go wrong if you personally advocate for the type of change that you would like to see—and America 2029 is here to help you get your voice heard.
Check out our current list of needs being addressed by America 2029, and feel free to add your own at the end of the list.

Getting Our Voices Heard. If government is not going to listen to cries for job security, affordable health care, lower taxes, smaller government, etc., then what can we do? How can I myself have my voice heard?
Surviving and Thriving as Technology Constantly Changes. If technology keeps changing faster and faster, how can I afford to buy the technology and figure out how to use it? Won't I get further behind all my tech-savvy competitors, coworkers, and fellow consumers?

A driving force in the Net 2029 network is the ability of the mentor to leverage the 6 partners both intellectually and financially.
Since there are many models for a Net 2029 network, details will be provided for specific networks, and implementation details may evolve over time.
If you have an idea for a message, cause, or product that you'd like to spread via the Net 2029 model, send your idea to net2029@SummerOfTomorrow.com.

Your favorite food company has an opportunity to produce a particular item, and they simply don't.
You could write to them (we have...), but they general ignore such correspondence.

We've now had chocolate and peanut butter together for so long that it's now become a cliche. Why, then, has nobody at Hershey decided to do the obvious combination? Where are the Reese's Peanut Butter and Jelly Cups? Divide the inside of the cup into a layer of peanut butter and a layer of pectin jelly. It would be the greatest innovation since...well, the Reese's Cup!
